Our under 16's will be taking part in the competition this week in Sheffield, they're in a group with Antwerp, Celtic and Sheffield Wednesday

It looks like we're last-minute replacements for a Nigerian side that obviously couldn't make it. Fixtures are at

Our first match is today against Royal Antwerp at 14:30. Then we play Sheffield Wednesday at 10:30 tomorrow and Celtic at 14:30 on Wednesday.

Sadly, lost 4-2 to Wednesday after being 2-0 down at half-time. Celtic and Antwerp drew 0-0.

Gave Celtic a good run for their money but lost 2-1. SWFC 2-1 Antwerp.

Finished 3rd in group but, according to Twitter, impressed a lot of folk.

Well done to the U16 squad and all the coaching/support staff.
Given the opposition, and short preparation time, they have acquitted themselves well and done the name of Stanley proud.
Keep up the good work and we look forward to seeing many of the squad emerging through to the first team in a few years.

It was the Under 16s in Sheffield who lost on penalties to JHR from Rotterdam. They drew 2-2 with Charlton this morning and, again, sadly, lost on penalties.
