Health and safety ;-)
Just been looking through some of my photo's and came across this one, look at the scaffolding would that be allowed with the UK's health and safety rules? I'ts at the Hilton as well so wouldn't think it was cowboy builders they had in doing the work.

Re: Health and safety ;-)
At first glance it seems to be constructed on the same sort of pattern to the normal scaffolding which we are used to. What is it made of and it the stuff tough?
Oh yes, and where was that?

Sorry, meant to have added that to the post, must have had a wee bit too much when I posted that
!. I think its bamboo
3. I'd say its strong, it bends a lot before it breaks, but the structure will only be as strong as the string holding it to the fence
2. Its in Singapore

Re: Health and safety ;-)
was gonna say it looks like trees.
In answer to your question, it's safer than some of the scaffolding that has been put up. I read recently about an accident where a whole load of scaffolding collapsed in this country. The company knew about it, the hotel chain knew about it, but they ignored complaints from the workers because they wanted the hotel finished.
I doubt it got finished on time because it looked like the scaffolding brought a lot of the outside of the hotel down with it .
