Why do people give birds like swans mouldy bread - that will poison them. Pigeons might eat it if hungry enough, pigeons even eat dog muck.

Well if mouldy bread is chucked in a pond, it causes poisonous algea, any bread just left in a pond leads to that also attracts rats who will eat mouldy bread.

That was a slight wrong use of word! You could say that the geese have found true love! The likelihood of them coming together and forming a pair - one in a million...
