Red Kites
if your looking for stuff with string attached then this is the wrong type of Kite for you
Red Kite Information
These are fab birds to watch, been up Scotland for a week and we had a lot of these flying round every day, they were actually extinct in the Uk and have been re-introduced and are breeding well and the numbers growing at a good rate.
I've plenty of pics but here are some of my favourite ones, but please remember these are taken hand held with a 500mm lens and they don't fly very close too you
One pic shows them playing/fighting, not sure which but they seem to do a lot of it - sorry its not a very good picture but these two were too far away, another one you can see a hole in the birds wing, this one we see almost every day and the hole didn't seem to bother it at all, one of the best though I think is the one were it's upside down, I haven't altered it, thats what they do in the air when playing/fighting, happens so quick though, just glad I caught it on camera.

Re: Red Kites
"Not very good" .. they are fantastic KSH. Don't know how you do that ... have been trying to capture some swallows all week, but am clueless. Love the first one ... can just see the smugness in its face.

Snap
This was the other side of the loch, came over our side occasionally but I couldn't get any where near it before it flew off
