Sharp Bonks

I have just added a few more photos to the "Hyndburn Then & Now" Album on my Picasa WebSite. One of the captions refers to "Sharp Bonks" which was a term widely used in the "old days". Just wondered if any other Accywebber was familiar with the expression.

Sharp Bonks means nothing to me.

Cheers, Bert, first time I've seen that for years! When I was a toddler, I used to walk up there with my mum on our way back to Broadfield Road. She never called it "Sharp Bonks", though. She always called it "The Donkey Steps".
