Re: Starmer and the -erm syndrome

Agree with what you write, Margaret, but there is no intention (from any party) to “clean up” the economic Armageddon that they are creating.

The IMF, World Bank, WEF and, no doubt, UN will be...

Re: Newport County match thread.

Superb performance and brilliant result from Stanley tonight.
Every outfield player had a great game and some of the attacking play was a delight to watch.
But, despite the score line, Stanley’s...

Re: Bits & Bobs

Risk standing in the Accy rain or a superb meal and dry seat.
No brainer if you can afford it.

Re: Scary times-2 up at HT v MKD

Terrific performance from Stanley last night.
Their defensive efforts were outstanding and, at last, the two decent chances were well taken.
Pleased for Walton and O’Brien+, but also must mention...

Re: Just NOT what we need........

Why do I think this isn’t the first team to sack their manager immediately before playing Stanley?
Was there another this season?

Re: See how long it lasts......

Presumably, 7.999 seconds every time a keeper has the ball in his hands!
Teams will just come up with different ways to waste time.

Re: *&%&$ky again - Bantams game

Assuming the TV money is greater than the loss of ticket sales for those fans who decide to stay at home in their pyjamas

Re: Tranmere away

Fantastic result and, from the commentary on Radio Lancs, well deserved. Sounded like Matthews and Ward were outstanding but all players put in a shift. Only downside were three missed chances. But 3...

Re: vs Donny

Always difficult to beat twelve men.
But thought Stanley, without Rawson again, put up a good fight and had DR with their backs to the wall for the last ten minutes.
Their first goal summed up...

Re: Four points off the drop zone - Morecambe 23rd Placed Away Post Mortem

You just did. If that banner is disrespecting anyone it’s not current players but the manager & coach.

And perhaps you could suggest all the far left billionaires who are just gagging to gift...

Re: January Window

Is anyone else finding it impossible to view the three interviews about and with Conor Grant on the ASFC ‘fishy’ web site?
When I click on the item, there’s no video.
Just watched Ged’s post...

Re: Wombles (not concrete cows) thread

It wasn’t the ref who was the problem it was the linesman on the Whinney Hill side. I suspect he was a sad attention seeker, amongst other possible things.

Re: Wombles (not concrete cows) thread

Thought it was a good, competitive game today, even though very few chances, and the draw a fair result.
The Wombles looked a big tough team but we’re less thuggish than some we’ve had at The Wham....

Re: Shaun Whalley

Well deserved, just hope Wimbledon don’t try the same tricks as Cheltenham in trying to stop him playing.

Re: Former Players!

Is that right? Last night Adekoya was playing for Runcorn Linnets against Stafford Rangers (who won 1-3) and got a yellow card after coming on as a sub.
Maybe Stafford liked his “aggression”?...

Re: January Window

I agree with your main point, Greger, that Stanley lack creativity in attacking midfield, and have done for some time.
Last night’s display revealed what happens when both Liam Coyle and Ben Woods...

Re: At Gresty Road

That’s interesting, CG, because O’Brien’s recent drop off in form came after his call-up for Ireland U21s and an injury problem. Hope he can get back his best because he’s proved himself to be a good...

Re: January Window

Pity about Costello leaving early. I thought he was one of the better centre forwards we’ve recently loaned but, clearly Burnley are also in need of goal scorers.
Stanley will have to rely on its...
