  • Thank you very much for this information, Due to him wanting documents in his possesion it has made it far harder to find out about him. I always felt as if my family were the only bury's but there are far more but i feel as if im an intruder as i am not a bury by blood but by adoption as Bishop Bury adopted my Great Grandfather. Im very proud to be a Bury and it seems what i have researched that he helped the relationship between America and Britain it would be nice to know the history of the past of the child he adopted i only know about ocupations of our adopted link you hav given me substantial information and im sorry if i can not help you the same way. Keep in touch Christopher Bury
    Hello Christopher,

Extremely interested to see your entry re Bishop Bury, who was my GGGF's nephew. His parents died young and he was brought up by an uncle. Abraham Walter Bury, his brother, as far as I know unmarried, was brought up by my GGGparents. Have quite a bit of published info about him -obituaries and newspaper articles - but little personal info. I was told that he wanted all documents in his possession destroyed upon his death, 1931 as far as I can remember. Do let me know if I can help you in any way. Would also be grateful for help from you. Regards . Henry
