You need to complete your answers in English or Welsh, but we can supply a copy of the questions in your own language to help you.
It then goes on the list 57 languages, helplines, and websites.
If the recipients of the census return have read all that,
why do they need a translation.
If they can't read it, what the ell are they doing here.

Oh and we have been told that we can help people with their census form but they have to ask us, we can't just offer, hmmm now do these forms have built in microphones??? ;p

After a lot more digging, I have found that the ONS has awarded the 150 million pound contract to the American arms company - Lockheed-Martin.
The information collected is supposed to be confidential.......and if you look at the Census website, it tells us all very reassuringly that it is illegal for the information to be used outside the UK......but my digging has revealed that we are obliged to share the collected information with all 26 members of the EU and the US......now forgive me Kate if it sounds like I am moaning, but what on earth has it to do with the US?(or the EU for that matter...other than finding a way to screw more money out of us for some damn thing or other)
I cannot see this information remaining confidential for very long with so many countries having access to it.
