A special day.....?

The 3rd of October.......mm, that date rings a bell......I'm sure there was something special about that date. Is it the date that King Alfred burned the cakes........no, I don't think that was it.
Is it the day that Harold got an arrow in his eye......no, it wasn't that either. We are talking 3rd of October 1966 here........!

Yes, 39 years ago this very day...it was a Monday then too....I got married.

When I went out of the house on baby minding duty this morning, I left hubby a card and the new Katie Melua Cd.
Now he wouldn't have found these until he got back from doing the shopping this morning.......He had to ask Daughter if it was our anniversary today......and she had to think for a couple of minutes.....she said it was either today or Wednesday.

So when I got back from my child minding, was the house full of flowers, chocolates, a bottle of bubbly maybe.....? What do you think.....? No.....nothing except a card. Why didn't he get me a little something......the excuse he used was 'there isn't anything you need'.........If I had murdered him 25 years ago I would just be getting out around about now. Wonder if I could adapt to jail at this late stage of my life........?

Go out and buy yourself something special (and expensive) and tell him that it is his anniversary present to you. If you have your wits about you......you can demand the money back......

Lettie..... the really sad thing is.....he is right......I can't think of anything I really want......but when I do.....it's going to cost.

Happy anniversary to you, ok just a couple of mins late... just think about all the things he's done or given you over the years of your marriage.....ok you're right you would have just been getting out of prison for murder ;)

happy anniversary magpi....
remember ,,dont get mad ,get even...lol

happy aniversary m and don't know about king alfred but i set the frying pan alight this morning and paris will certainly not forget that lol

Happy anniversary for yesterday hun! I love getting presents especially when they have been thought out. When I buy a present I really try to think about it and the person i am buying for. It does infuriate me when someone sticks a tenner in a card.especially for children....I know its the thought that counts but its a cop out most of the time.
Anyhow did you get anything in the end?
