A trip to..........

Had a fab day out yesterday. Sparks and I decided to escape the heat of Accy and head out to the heat of Manchester for a sundrenched cider fest. Hopping on the bus we started off in the Castlefield area. Much regenerated and pulls crowds from all over the North West, Castlefield is one laid back day out.

After lunch and a drink or two, we walked round to the Bridgewater Hall area and had a drink by the canal side in a lovely beer garden. We had a walk up the canal and ended up in shirtless heaven. That's right, The Village....... This place was packed out. if you ever want to go people watching, this is the place to be. We didn't stop for drinks here, the place was heaving, but we had a lovely stroll through the area. Topless men seemed to be the theme of the day, everyone was relaxed here, just enjoying a drink and cruising for potential partners. From a woman's point of view, The Village is a great day out. It's non-threatening, relaxed and a damned good laugh. I've even had a transvestite give me make-up tips here many moons ago.

Swapping the Village for a walk through Picadilly Gardens made me realise that there are definitely people out there who should keep their clothing well and truly on...... Can anyone tell me when it became acceptable for an over 50 woman to wear a sleeveless bright blue string vest with a black bra underneath it. Had it been on a 20 year old it may have been acceptable, but......... here's the thing..... The bra was fastened around her waist, with rolls of fat hanging over the straps, clearly visible on her back....Yuk!!!!

Call me a bitch but I think there are certain things that people of a certain age should cover up. These include back breasts, bingo wings and thunder thighs.......I make considerable efforts to cover up my flab in public and feel that I should be afforded the same courtesy....

Anyhow, we managed to get a bit of shopping, then had a drink sat in the shade outside the Chophouse before catching the bus home. Of course, I duly fell asleep on the bus. A trip to Manchester would not be complete without 40 winks on the bus home, although I did tell Sparks that I was resting my eyes.

Why the hell did you blank me?

It was me in the blue string vest!!!

Very funny Lettie, glad you two had a great day out.
