Normally we slag the Ref to bits on here, but today Mr Wiley was,IMHO, outstanding, he allowed the game to be played, didnt keep blowing up for the least little thing, and from what I saw had very good comunication with BOTH sets of players.............I know he is one of the 'elite' , however it was good to see him down here in League 2, and he looked to be enjoying himself also as he had a smile on his face for most of the game!!

Thought the Assistants were on the ball too.................more of the same please FA!

I tried to re-assure you all in the v Mansfield thread during the game today but you weren't here to read it :D

yeah but how long did it take for pete to believe me that it was alan wiley... I had to go searching for a programme to prove it:rolleyes:

Oh yeah and his moment of the match had to be when he said to muggleton (mansfields keeper)

"GET A GRIP" or something along those lines, to which muggles replied something, which I didn't catch!!! Then ref called him over, thought he was gonna book him for a min :p

Ok Ok, I knew that I recognised the face, but found it hard to believe that it was actually Him ( sounding like hero worship now!! ), and yes HR did have to prove it to me.................:o:o

oh yeah and his defence on not knowing was that alan wiley has grey hair...now come on Pete you can do better than that :p

You have to admit some of these refs live the high life, last week Goodison Park, this week the FES, he's being brought back down to earth on Tuesday with a visit to the City of Manchester stadium.:p

Thats alan wiley not pete who I am sure is a lot..............

someone else can finish that sentence

Got to forgive Pete, it's all those nights of waking Sarah up to sort the new offspring catching up on him! LOL

How has this thread gone from Alan Wiley to me being a rather confuddled, new Dad?...............How strange the web we spin!!! :D:D

Confuddled: thats a big word for a new dad who had to be helped to recognise the difference between a grey haired man in black from Alan Whilley. U r too well known round Stanley Pete. We'll make the excuses for you, just sit back relax & direct Sarah on her role as a new mum. LOL
