And so......

So tomorrow is crunch day. I have to ring the vet to tell him if I want more tablets or............

I have agonised for 2 weeks. When I've been wakened in the night by, "Woof"......"Pant"......."Woof", I've thought, "This can't go on". When I've gone to the loo at 3 a.m. and so has Jet, on the landing carpet, I've thought, "I've had enough". But when we've walked across the fields and the tail has been held high, the eyes have been bright and the nose has been busy I've thought, "She's still happy and she still enjoys life".

If I thought she was suffering it would be so much easier, I wouldn't hesitate, but apart from the odd wobble in the back legs there's no sign of pain. The nose is wet and shiny and, for a 16 year old dog, she's very fit. Most of all she trusts me. She is at my feet as I type this. If I go and watch TV she will be beside me. When I sit at the dining table she is next to my chair.

I can't kill her because she is a nuisance and she's hard work. She has been faithful to me for 16 years and now she's just a rather confused old lady. We'll carry on with the tablets for now.

Omg................I'm filling up again!!!!!!!!!! I wish you would all stop these blogs now lol........... I'm just thinking about my dog, she is getting on now, and she is slowing down, and I don't think it will be long............but I cant bear that thought!!!

I don't know if you have read my blog from Monday......but we lost our little pal on Monday.....it has been a heart breaking week. I could never give up on a pet because it made extra work......the only reason our little dog was put to sleep was because he wasn't going to get better and was in pain. Enjoy your pal, her time will come soon enough.
