Aunt Ros.

We are having a horrible time at the moment. l mentioned yesterday that my Auntie Ros was in hospital waiting for a scan because they think she may have cancer, perhaps in her liver.

She's been at the Imfirmary since Wednesday, and was in the scanner on Thursday when it broke down, and has been waiting ever since to go back to finish the scan.

Yesterday just after writing this, Mum called to say she'd had a stroke. We went to the hospital, but l wasn't able to see her, but was relieved she could talk a little, and had some movement.

The news this morning is that she's had another stroke in the early hours of this morning, and l don't know what's happening now, as l'm waiting for my Mum to call.

She's 57, never smoked or drank and has always been a feisty red headed woman. l was her first nephew and we are very close as she was only 16 when l was born, and shes my only Aunt remaining of the two l had.

I'm not religous but l'm hoping beyond hope a miracle happens. Her Husband, my Cousin Lisa, and her two grandchildren , as well as my Mum her only sibling, are in a daze.

Just a postscript to show how kind she is. When my brother got married, whatever she spent on their present which was a washing machine and bedroom carpets, l also got the same when l got my first flat because l would never have a wedding. l never forgot that kind thought and understanding. She also gives great hugs, which she did when she'd cooked Christmas dinner and l was hallucinating and frightened.

Gary......I am so sorry to hear about your Aunt Ros.
It must be a terrible time for you and all of her family.
My thoughts are with you.
Hope the feisty red headed-ness pulls her through.
