Can anyone confirm that the bins will be emptied on Saturday as I have a small bin bag mountain growing in my back garden.
no they wont they are on strike its an automated messageWillowTheWhisp said:Best thing to do is phone up the refuse department. They'll be able to tell you
But when they stop being on strike tomorrow they should have an answer. I'm not even getting an automated message. It's engaged. Surprise, surprise!

I don't see why they should be paid overtime. How can you be paid overtime if you have not worked more than your contractual hours? Either way they will have been on strike and not lost any money. They were on the pickit line this morning at the Council yard as Rhonda went down town. As she came back they had gone. Typical, they can't even strike for long without having to have a rest breakGayle said:I wonder if they'll be getting overtime for working on Saturday?
