Emma has asked me to let everyone know that she now has her own house. She picks up the keys today. The next step is to furnish the place. :)
 
Woohoo brilliant news. :) Let's hope she can get the stuff she needs. Does she have anything from where she was before or did she have to leave it all behind?

The last I heard she was being denied access to her stuff, but that may well have changed. I dont know how these things work, but I cant see the Council finding her a home without also helping with basic furnishings i.e beds
 
was just thinking (as you do) if Em gets in touch with bonnyboy and tells him what she needs furniture wise maybe we could all look on freecycle for her, i'm sure we could get her sorted out with every item of furniture she needs between us

She needs basically just about everything so anything anyone knows of will probably be some use to her - unless we all get her a table and she ends up with a couple of dozen tables and no chairs!! :D
 
well i have a dinning table and 4 chairs for her if she wants it, if she has a dinning room that is, and if someone can pick it up for her
 
I have some spare pans and bedding for a double bed, probably got more bits and pieces too.
 
just text em and she needs a double mattress if anyone has one, she has the base but just no mattress, grego i think the bedding will come in handy for when she gets a bed
 
I dont know Em and haven't got her number but if she's only 10 mins from Sandy Lane I'm quite close and may be able to drop off over the weekend.
 
we have a hoover in working order with all the tools she can have but someone will have to pick it up
 
I have a portable tv, Its one of the old 'spacemans helmet' ones maybe ok for her son? Need someone to collect it though
