The acupuncurist told me to sleep whenever I can, so that's what I'm doing. I was still awake at six am, but then fell asleep until I was woken by the phone at one pm.
'Ginger?
It's Nursie, me Milly.'
It was my dearest, sweetest friend Milly who is now back in Milano. We do stay in touch nearly everyday, but mainly by text or on MSN. She'd been out for lunch with her friends to celebrate getting a new job, which starts in the in the New Year. As although working for Armarni is prestigious, it isn't that well paid. She'll be running the showroom for a smaller fashion house, but still get to go to all the shows, including this time America. I'm really happy for her. She deserves it. She's come along way from passing me pins, and laughing so much that she wee'd on the third step of the spiral staircase.
Sadly her new job means she won't be able to fly to Scotland for John and Don's 'wedding' in Febuary. The good news is that she has to be in Manchester in August for two days, and wants to come and stay here with me for a week afterwards in Oliver Twist, which is the easiest pronounciation for her of Oswaldtwistle.
It'll be so great to see her. The last time we actually saw each other was in London last June, and before that in Italy. She's the best friend anyone could ever want. Everyone that meets Milly is charmed by her, including Mum, as well as John and Don. I've already blogged about her, so I won't bang on about our friendship again.
I'm so looking forward to August now, bring it on.
