clock key mystery

this was in the letters in the observer.
dose anyone know the whereabouts of the key for the towngate clock in great harwood ,

it appears that about four week's ago it missing during the local holiday period and the town's clock keeper is unable to wind it up.
come on how got?

Came over the brow on Church St a couple of weeks ago, and thought "Oh, they've fixed the clock"

Then realised that by fluke I was approaching it at one of those two times...

well ya surprised me wi that mike. never thought i'd see the day when a "Rishtoner" defended a "arroder" when i used to go down the "merrie england" wi the rishtoners in mid 60s on friday nights, twas like "Attila the Hun" invading in the eyes of arroders.
