Cold Feet.

I am not a great TV watcher.
I am very discerning about what I like to watch.
No Love Island for me....no Big Brother either.
Though I have very occasionally succumbed to I'm a Celebrity.
I like things like 24 hrs in A&E....the Good Doctor, ER(from the 80's)...Mash stuff like that.
I also like the series Cold Feet.
So when I heard that there was a new series starting last night....I came over all giddy with anticipation.

I turned on and tuned in....what a disappointment it was.
The stories were ludicrous...and lewd too.
The mispronunciation by a supposedly Spanish character of the word Count...was not a bit funny and it felt very hackneyed and forced.
The stories used to be far more realistic....and usually had some kind of message.
Last nights episode mixed serious subjects (an attempted suicide, breast cancer, bankruptcy, job difficulties)with stuff that might be funny if you are twelve(middle aged people supposedly caught in flagrant delicto in a car....really ?)
A lothario trying to make out with his sons girlfriend.
It is always the same isn't it...you find something you like and then they change the recipe??

It was really not great....and I do not think I will be watching it again if last nights episode was anything to go by.
Cold Feet has run its course and needs to be put out of its misery.

I watch very little tele, no reality crap of any description, mainly Documentaries, History, odd film, Football, cricket, boxing. thats about it. plus news usually for a laugh.

I like a good drama and I have enjoyed series like 'Unforgotten' and The BodyGuard...but I select what I really want to watch.
When himself is out the back cutting wood I turn off the TV....he comes in, puts some crap on(black and white movies....Sherlock Holmes...aaargh.....Judge Judy...double aargh)and I get myself off upstairs to do stuff on the computer.

I don't need mental chewing gum.
