Coming Home.

I could always do with a few more days.
Not that I am being greedy...or maybe I am.
When you know you have to come home, you really just want to get on with it.

It always helps when the day you have to come home is a bit 'ordinary'.......and this morning it was.....ordinary. Overcast with a hint of rain in the chilly breeze

For this visit to the house in Wales, we got the food shopping just about right.
Only a dribble of milk left.....eggs finished yesterday on a salad.
Bacon and sausages - just enough for breakfast.

The tin lids have wakened me with predictable regularity just after 6am each day of the break.
Their daddy came down last night to ferry us back home today.....they were allowed to stay up very late(it was well after 10.30 when they went to bed.....and they messed around in the bathroom cleaning their teeth and washing their faces.....to prolong the time they were up).

This morning I got my own back on them.
I went and woke them up.......stripped their beds and bundled up the laundry.
Spindles had eyes like cuts in a pigs bum.....and promptly laid himself back on the bed...on just the mattress protector.
I wasn't having that. I made him get up and check that everything that needed to be packed was out of the drawers and the wardrobe.

He was sluggish and tousled. Not so Miss Bossy Drawers. I think if she only had five minutes kip she would be ready for up and at 'em.

Everything ran like a well oiled machine.....and I did a quick sweep of the house before we left.

It was a painless journey back home.
I am unpacked and everything is put away.

I think it has wiped Nicola out.....even though I tried to do the bulk of stuff that needed doing.
We didn't venture out until late morning each day...and frequently we didn't go very far.
It was a change of scene and a different view through the kitchen window.
