Had to go to the Royal Preston today .. to see my consultant. Its just over 6 months since i saw him last .. well saw one of the registrars then .. and saw another today.
Anyway didnt start out good this morning .. got woken up by the road sweeper .. it had rossendale borough council on the side .. and cos theres been traffic lights outside my house from time to time .. i heard this noise right outside .. i thought it was the sweeper stuck at the lights .. big mistake .. They were stripping the road .. ready for redoing it on Sunday .. and they've gone right along the road its a right mess outside. Went to catch the bus .. and one of LCC workers was stopping the traffic .. and i said have they shut the bus stop .. going to accy ..he said no we havent theyre stopping there pointing to opposite the bus stop .. bus comes along ..and he waves i aint stopping and pointed up the road!!!
So missed that bus .. and so then missed the train in Accy .. as 2 buses came along together ... Gets on the boneshaker to Preston .. and lands in Preston at 2pm ... Appointment at 2.40 .. nips into M&S for a butty and a bottle of water... and walked down to the bus station. It was a lot warmer in preston than it had been in Accy. Caught the bus up to the hospital .. and signs in .. receptionist said go to the Fulwood suite .. im sat there watching the football .. theres a sign saying 1hr delay .. but the docs names werent mine .. so i thought she said the fulwood suite .. its 3.30pm next up a nurse comes in says my name .. yeah thats me .. you are in the wrong suite you should be in Lostock .. said the receptionist told me fulwood .. she said they do that ... goes in .. not my consultant .. it was one of his registrars .. a different one.
In a way i was grateful it wasnt my consultant... You see ive been very naughty .. and stopped taking one of my tablets .. the one that doped me up and i couldnt sleep with .. in fact its the one that stopped me drinking alcohol the valium based one. Thing is though ive only had 3 since i stopped taking it .. and in a way ive been expecting em ... cos a bit stressed out .. with stuff going on... I told him this .. and he said to me i was going to suggest putting you on a new one .. ive forgotten the name of it .. but he said its your choice .. try it or leave everything as it is .. minus the valium based one .. and see how i go for 6 months .. and thats what has happened ..
So i go back to preston hospital in December ... just in time for xmas shopping ..
Got back into Preston about 4pm .. and wandered down fishergate back to the train station .. nipped back into M&S got my tea .. then into Primark .. got a tshirt from there .. one to say im supporting england £4 .. elcheapo .. if it hadnt fit ..id have given it spugs ..
So dont go back for 6 months and no changes to the medication .. im doing well!!!!
