I went to see Ma on Sunday evening on the Medical Assessment Unit.
They had done still more blood tests and got some of the results back. She had been told that she had definitely had a heart attack and that once there was a bed on the Coronary Care Unit, that was where she would be going,
She was told that they would do an echocardiogram and probably an angiogram too.
Ma was hooked up to monitors, she had oxygen on and had been catheterised......no need to be getting up for a wee......and she was going to be doing a lot of weeing as she was on a diuretic drip...Frusemide.
She was obviously a lot better as she was complaining about the poor quality of the food.
Once home I set about contacting family members to let them know of the situation.
Himself had been up to Ma's during the afternoon to pick up Chico, Ma's little dog.
He was very forlorn and disorientated (the dog that is, not himself) about what was going on and spent the whole of the day padding about the place looking for Ma.
He wouldn't eat anything or have a drink.
I took him along the canal for a sniff about and a wee, but he wasn't happy and kept turning around and looking in the direction we had come, as if he was asking to go home.
What he didn't realise was he was going to have to call our house home for the foreseeable future.
To be continued.

Seems like Ma may take a bit longer sadly.
