I thought Mothers Day was next Sunday......and so it is.....but I had a very pleasant surprise today when daughter and son in law turned up.
I was in the kitchen putting the kettle on for a brew......I had heard the terror knocking at the door and presumed that they had been out doing their shopping and would be in need of a good brew......Son in law came into the kitchen with a large bunch of flowers and a box of chocolates.....gave me a big hug and told me I was appreciated. I know that they both appreciate what I do for them and they did not need to do the flowers and chocolate bit.....but it is always good to be told that you are loved and appreciated. Do we really need a special day to tell the people who matter to us that we love them......? And that life would be poorer without them? Do we really need to spend a fortune on fancy cards......and over inflated prices for bunches of flowers? No! Of course we don't......so if there is someone in your life that you couldn't live without.....tell them......go on....do it now!
