Ground Levelling

Have the contracters started work on levelling the surface of the Fraser Eagle Stadium. I seem to remember the starting date being the 30- April.

Understand work was started last week & told is looking good.

Im not so sure that the pitch has been levelled, I saw it on wed and only three or four areas were 'grass less' and the rest just seeded I believe............could be wrong tho!

It's about on a par with the top of the coppice as of this afternoon Pete .

Ok report back...it's as pete has said above, and understand that the levelling has been done!!!

To be honest, you couldn't really expect the pitch to be totally levelled. If you were to raise the Coppice end to the same height as the Clayton end, the pitch would be halfway up the terrace and capacity would fall.

Good job Clitheroe aren't levelling their pitch then. It would be level with the roof of the main stand!

I would have expected a bit more work than that for the 6 figure sum quoted in the local papers, must be more to do later.
