Groundhog Day.

Today himself watched 'Groundhog Day' on TV....I could not bear to watch it.
It is a film that he has watched times without number....and it is a film that doesn't do it for me.
And certainly not in our current situation because it is just like Groundhog Day.

If we were 'courting' now....I don't think that there would be a film I could go and watch with him.
He also watched a raft of old black and white films too.
I left him to it while I made corned beef hash for tea.
I don't mind some old films....I like the Marx brothers....George Formby and Old Mother Riley too...but I am not good at just sitting watching films on TV.
My brain races round at a speed of knots.

A friend of mine heard that I was short of reading material and popped two novels through my door.
Alas one of them I had already read...in fact I think I gave it to her.

This is my 1500th blog....do I get a medal?

Margaret, you do deserve a medal as you have certainly kept this blog section going, and brilliantly so. Always interesting with more than a sprinkle of laughter-producing narratives - in fact giving us many chuckles.

You have allowed us to share the worrying times you have gone through, you have allowed us to care, while at the same time you have helped a number of us with your empathy and meaningful words when the occasion has arisen.

Here's to the next 1500....

Thank you Dorothy.
I started writing so that I could look back on things....a good way to stimulate memories.
This blog has helped me deal with a lot of the things that life has dealt me.
I frequently read my back blogs and they make me laugh too....some of them make me cry too.

If, along the way they have provided chuckles, entertainment or enlightenment....then that pleases me.
It was my aim.
