Has Spring arrived?

The day is soft as your pocket, the sun is shining, the sky is blue.
It's the first of March. Has spring come at last.

Green spears that will be daffodils, are poking through the grass on Dunkenhalgh way......there is a profusion of snowdrops under a tree in Oakhill park...and further along the golden and purple crocus are making their presence known.......at the back of Imposta Coffee house there is a little area to sit and rest, there is another patch of crocus giving colour to what could be a dull little area.

While we were away in Llandudno, the gardens were full of daffodils, shaking their heads in the wind from the sea.

The mornings are lighter, the evenings too.
So if it isn't quite spring, it is surely the last gasps of the winter.

The bright day and the sunshine do me a power of good.

I might even wash my winter jacket, ready to put away...or would that be tempting fate, do you think?

Marg, don't forget that if March comes in like a lion it goes out like a lamb... and vice versa. Is this a lion or a lamb day? Met Office website says it's going to get colder towards the middle of the month... if you believe them.

Don't really give a monkeys, Lovely day n good weathers welcome at any time of year wi me.:)

I think it is probably a 'lamb' day(so the lion has still to come).....and I know that winter can bite back, but winter's bite is usually milder the later it arrives.....and the lengthening days are a delight for me.
I don't mind the cold so much(you can always put on an extra layer)...it is the heavy leaden skies that get me down.
I feel like my head is banging against the clouds.
