to Dave in Germany......who has been posting on the forum for a little while, and has now branched out into the world of blogs.......with a great first blog.
He has received two comments, and has stated in his reply that he doesn't quite know how to respond to these comments.......well, there are a few ways to do this I suppose.......and I reckon it depends squarely on the comment.
If it is a good comment......one that makes you glow with pride(and some do) then you can put a response in the comments section yourself, as you have done on this occasion.
If the comment is going to be a longer explanation of something, then.......blog it!
If it is a comment which is less than complimentary, then you can ignore it.
I must admit I haven't had any of those, but I guess there is a first time for everything.........and at least it means someone has read your stuff, and feels passionate enough about it to respond(and that can't be all bad....can it?)
And to those of you out there who read the blogs and don't comment on them, I would ask you to please applaud the writer, it is often the oxygen of comments that will keep a blogger going, that and the number of folk who have read the stuff the blogger has written.
This then suggests there is some element of vanity in blogging....well, I suppose at first there is....but soon blogging becomes a 'habit'.......not quite an addiction, but definitely something you feel drawn to do.
And Dave, you can put it your blog what you want....or leave out bits that you feel we oughn't know......it doesn't have to be factual either.......it can just be thoughts and musings.
Illustrations........take your camera everywhere.......blogs are much more interesting if there re pictures to look at......or at least that is what folks tell me.........but then what do I know? I am still learning too.
One last word to you Dave(well no, two actually)........More......Please!
