No, no....not THAT kind of 'been'
What I mean is that I have just returned from my second session of gentle Yoga.
I was hoping that we might be going over what we did last week, as I have been practising.
I even bought myself a Yoga Mat....this is for two reasons....the new mat is thicker than those at the centre, so kinder to my frame....and the second reason is that I am a Scottish Jew....frugal, careful and if I shell out on a mat then it will ensure that I keep on going.
I said I had been practising during the week didn't I?
One afternoon, himself was out the back cutting wood so I got out my mat and tried to remember the moves we had done last week.
I could remember most of them, but could not quite remember which bit of the move I was meant to inhale....and which bit was to exhale.
I decided that I would just breathe normally and concentrate on the moves.
I did about half an hour.
I really did not want him coming in and laughing at my attempts....and believe me, he would have.
At the end of the half hour I laid myself down to go through the relaxation bit.
This bit was difficult, but only because Clawde the big ginger tom came and laid himself on my chest.
He put his face close to mine as if to say....' I don't know what you are doing, but I would like to join you'
His whiskers were tickling my nose and when he felt that I was taking no notice of him, he gently pawed my chin.
In the end I gave up.
So tonight I went to the class feeling like I knew what I was doing(well, a bit) so it was a bit of a facet when we did a totally different routine....using chairs, blocks and straps.
That will teach me for getting ahead of myself.
The good news was I enjoyed it just as much as last week.
My leggings survived a wash...a bit paler but elastic still intact.
Can't wait for next week!
