I came up here to do the packing for my little jaunt down to Devon.....but here I am diddling and fiddling on the computer.
It doesn't take me long to get packed but I have to 'psyche' myself up for it. I can't imagine that there will be much of a night life.....Mutti frequently has dinner and then retires to bed....to watch TV, or to read.
I am not much of a one for drinking...or dancing for that matter. Nature decreed i should be born with two left feet and the rhythmic sense of a hippo....so if I do go down to the nightly entertainment you can be sure that I will be playing the wallflower.
There are four excursions in this 6 day holiday........I have looked at the 5 day weather forecast and it looks decidedly iffy....rain and shower up until Wednesday.....Dartmoor and Princetown are going to be charming if they are shrouded in that awful wet mist. I might just stay at the hotel and exercise myself in the pool. At least the heat will be turned down a bit........I was dreading pushing Ma in her wheelchair if it was going to be in the high 20's.....but the temps look like being 18-21 degrees....and I will sweat at that.
It looks more like rainmac than sunhat weather. Mutti doesn't care, she just want to be pampered for a week.
We are going to Looe and Polperro.....I'm just hoping that I can get some good pics. I believe these two villages are beautiful....we have some time in Exeter and a trip out to Sidmouth. Well the last time I was in Sidmouth, we were in the jaws of a gale.
Ah well, better get off and try to make some headway.......see you all in a week. Be good!
