After a three-month spell at the Accrington Observer, I am leaving to take a job on a newspaper in Hull.

From the day I was told I had this job, I have been in regular contact with all the good people at Accy web and you have all made me feel welcome.

You have also given me some decent stories, which I am eternally grateful for - a reporter is nothing without his readers being his eyes and ears in the community.

Thanks in particular to Huncoat and Baxenden residents who have helped keep up the flow of district news.

My final day here is Monday 6 February, so you're not getting rid of me just yet.

I thought you might like to know that the company won't be replacing me immediately, so there will be no devoted Huncoat and Baxenden reporter straight away, so please bear with the other reporters who will be covering it.

Good luck Vitty......I hope you stay in touch with us all. I suppose the Observer will be downhill all the way, now.

PS.....Hull? Now that really is a funny old place.

If you follow the road out of rawtenstall it takes you to hull, no turns, no slip roads, right to hull.

Only three months, either you got the push or Gayle kept talking her shoes off in the office while writing her column :D
 
Oy, my feet are as fragrant as the rest of me. Anyway, I never go into the office so how could he smell them from my house in Ossy?

The internet is world wide so you might be leaving the area but there is no call to leave Accyweb is there ?
 
Tis ok, I won't charge, I drive for a living and getting directions is a nightmare sometimes, not that I need to very often, rudoloph has most places in his head already.
 
Good luck with the new job Vitty, but I know you will still pop in here from time to time... hey might have your first story for hull paper!!!!
