Just a thought .........

"Manchester United have confirmed that striker Michael Owen will not be offered a new contract and will be leaving the club.

The 32-year-old former England forward joined the Old Trafford club in July 2009 but made just 52 appearances. "

Younger than some of last season's team (Hess, Kev Mc) . Doesn't need the money, so might come for "pay as you play" (say, 50 quid a goal? ). Won't have to move house ............ Scouser ...........

As I say, just a thought ..............

Owen also bought an entire street for his extended family (Austen Close, Ewloe), which is in an area close to where he used to live.

(above taken from Wikipedia)

And where's Ewloe ? Taffy land, that's where You'd probably have more chance by offering him sheep.

Owen's statement says:

"The Championship is not an option. I'd like to think I haven't lost the ability to score goals at the highest level.

I may look further afield."

OK, so .......... not the Championship ............ further afield .............Must mean League 2

I think we're in here ..............

[smobile]

I think he means a foreign field............

(or Paddock)

He must mean Mexico City. They play at a high level. Either that or Khatmandu Rovers.
