Marmite etc.

[Padiham Lass]

I can't buy Marmite in China (even in Tesco), but I've just found a jar at the back of the cupboard that I must have shipped over last year.

If you were in a foreign country, what 3(ish) must have items would you take with you?

My other 2 are Blanx toothpaste and Kleenex mansize tissues.

[Boeing Guy]

Easy, as I work abroad....
Some good fresh coffee, normally Starbucks (from tesco), HP sauce, pair of Marks and Sparks Slippers, they remind me of home.

[Padiham Lass]

I can get HP sauce (& Heinz Tomato Ketchup) in China.

I need to find somewhere to get proper fish and chips, although I don't expect that I'll get mushy peas.

[pipinfort]

For me i`d say decent Tea Bags, any tin of Baxters soup and Warburtons bread.............

[Padiham Lass]

Actually, I have to agree on the teabags. I've got a shelf full of Typhoo decaf teabags.

[cashman]

Tea Bags, are a must, proper fish n chips, proper cakes.

[WillowTheWhisp]

Dandelion coffee is a must for me. I take some everywhere I go!

[Wynonie Harris]

Guinness, Johnnie Walker Black Label, HP Sauce.

[Eric]

Guinness, Johnnie Walker Black Label, HP Sauce.

Can get all three within a five minute walk from my house .... but, suet, no dice. Can't get black pudding, but bloudin is close.

[Eric]

1) Tim Horton's coffee

2) Back bacon

3) A Texas micky of Crown Royal

[steeljack]

Guess most folks who have moved from the place they were brung up in miss various food-stuffs the most , my case decent pork sausages and bacon (US bacon sucks big time and Hot Dogs are NOT sausages) and that pork pie with hard boiled eggs in the middle .
Boxes of dried peas with the soaking tablet , regular split peas never seem to turn out the same .
It would also be nice if I could on occasion when I get a thirst to be able to get hold of the odd 'Irn Bru' or 'Dandelion and Burdock' , sod Pepsi and Coke
Also on the list Picalilli and proper Malt vinegar, wine vinegar is just a way of dumping lousy sour wine on folks with too much money

[Loz]

Mine would be Stuffing(paxo) i could eat a bowl of it on its own!
Warbies bread and cinnamon swirls from tesco's bakery i'm addicted atm which isn't good for the waistline!
