I have never been one for fancy nails.
I think working in nursing might have a lot to do with that.
We had to keep our nails short.......so even when I went on holidays my nails never really got a chance to grow to anything like a 'glamorous' length.......not long enough to apply varnish.
Even since being retired, I have not got into this fancy nail culture.......so why am I telling you about nail varnish........?
not only that, it is nail varnish I am quite proud of.
It has nothing to do with the colour, or the shape of the nails, but everything to do with Ronseal........I know!
Ronseal don't make nail varnish....they make wood stain.....fence paint and floor varnish.
Yes the varnish on my nails(two of them) is wood varnish.......and has found its way onto my thumb and index finger nails as a result of varnishing my floor.......four coats in the front room.......and today one coat of varnish to the boards in the living room(all done by my own fair hands - with absolutely no input from himself....which is how I wanted it)......a lovely shade of light Oak.
Somehow I do not think it will catch on in the posh nail bars.
