New Years day......2011.

Well, the old year shuffled off while I was asleep. This year I didn't even hear the fireworks down at the Dunk.....maybe it was the two glasses of wine.

I went to bed in my fluffy pink PJ's and at 2am I woke expecting to hear the pinger go off......to tell me I was done.
I felt proper roasted.......so I lay on top of the duvet with just my feet under the covers.

Didn't rise out of my bed until 9am this morning......this is something of a novelty to me.....I am usually up and at 'em well before this....but there is nowhere to go and I have everything planned for the dinner...which we will have at teatime.

Himself went out just before 9am to take the roast belly pork up to Ma...and to let her new year in.

I was eating toasted brioche when he came back......buttered and with a helping of Old English marmalade...delish.
Once my breakfast was over I left him with the vacuum cleaner, and a blunt knife.
He is the one who is going to tackle the waxed carpet today. I will see what sort of job he makes of it.

I was going to do this job myself, but then thought better of it.
If he has to clean up the mess then perhaps he will learn some sort of lesson.....and if he makes a mess of the job then it will cost him some dough.
Lifes lessons are sometime costly.

Well, I am off now.....whatever you are doing today..... Enjoy!

Haggis.......eeewww! I think it must be an acquired taste...just thinking of it makes me gag.

Well, Jen I am not being 'heavy' about it.........I think it does no good, and what is the point of turning my own screw?
He made a pretty crappy job considering how long he spent.

I am going to have a go at it when he is out one afternoon...and if all else fails I will look for a rug.
