ossy library.

Church Library was closed to stop all the fighting over Viz, the only thing ever read in it. :p

I think Ossy Library will be turned into another gypsy park

You, Gayle and Garinda could pretend to be Gypsies. Just stick some tea towels round your heads, get some upturned goldfish bowls and then read people's fortunes in there. It's the sort of thing Gayle is good at organising. You will have the local fruitcakes queuing all the way down Union road.

...but the good news is that the library will now have a baby changing facility!

So, how does that work, then? Do you just bring it along and say "I don't like this one, it's too ugly and it keeps throwing up" and they change it for another one? Do they date stamp it and fine you if you bring it back late?

It's lovely, isn't it? :)

I went in yesterday, you'd never believe it was the same place. My 8 year old son said it looked like an NHS building LOL. :D

It is very bright, clean and modern now.

After the message you sent me on facebook I dread to think what books you were reading :D

Hee hee, I can't believe you made me do that! LOL :D

I went to the library with the kids and we all borrowed books of a very respectable nature, I assure you. :D

What do you mean 'pretend'?

I curse both your houses.

(Spit.)

Now move along mister, before I get the other tinkers to tarmac your bald spot.

You'll get used to Eric, Ray, he likes to poke fun at the homeland when he's been out Moose hunting:D

No Moose hunting right now .... 'tis not the season .... but Bass season starts on Saturday:theband: And it's open season on baby Harp Seals;)

I went into the library today. I was quite impressed to be honest, they seemed to have cleared out a lot of the old, unread books and made the place feel a lot fresher. The tables are better to work at as well, though I was with my family so I haven't put this to the test yet.

It is much brighter in there, and the staff seem a lot happier though they didn't yet have chairs!

I was talking to one lady there and she said some people had been quite negative about the library's refurbishment, which I think is quite a shame because it hasn't REALLY been changed that much, it's just been given a much more modern look and I think it will definitely encourage more people to go in there, which is the main point really.

Someone wrote in the book of comments that is was 'Bland as califlower' [sic] but I think it is fantastic. It's not like the library was particularly fantastic before it was done, it was in desperate need of a revamp.

Anyone else been in?

Yes and I agree with what you've said. :)
