ok this is what i overheard on the bus today - talking about the fruit machines in the bookies!! 2 women about 20 got on the bus and one of them talked all the way about putting money in the fruit machine in the bookies - she put £5 in and won £25 and put £20 on a dog and put the rest back in the fruit machine - won another tenner - put that back in she lost on the dog, but that didnt matter cos she had won £280 last week on the dogs!!! They always put at least a quid in the machine well they start of at a quid but always ends up more. Seemed to me her and her boyfriend spent more time in the bookies than anywhere else. She also mentioned that she was lucky she had a council house and they were bringing in that you have to have a job or be looking for work to get one - at least ive got my council house they cant take it off me. The other woman who was with her said she stayed at home to look after the kids and she said well be grateful you've got your council house - otherwise you might not have got it. Then went back to how much she and her boyfriend spent in the bookies and it was a lot - was quite sorry to get off - she was vocal enough for the whole bus to hear. The only thing what got me was how much they put into the bookies and didnt seem to be bothered about it.
