This week I have spent a lot of time on photo's. That's Ok because I can lose myself completely when looking at my pics.
It all started because I wanted to find a couple of pics of Tiddler to upload to the accyweb competition.
I have hundred and hundreds of pictures......and sometimes I think that my photo files are very disorganised......and vow to do something about it.....but haven't managed it yet.
The pictures I wanted were taken when Tiddler was......well, a tiddler.
He is a very curious and articulate little boy of 4, who never ceases to amaze me with his questions, and hold on life in general.
Well, trawling through my photo files had me reminiscing about places I had visited, people I had met....etc.
I was really having a lovely time. It wasn't getting the job done though.
I did eventually find the two pictures I wanted and uploaded them......then I decided that I would upload some of the pictures that had given me that warm rosy glow, to the Flickr site.
I have said before that I have always fancied myself as a bit of a 'David Bailey'.......oh how my illusions were dashed.
After looking at some of the pics on the Flickr site I now realise the meaning of the word 'mediocre'...... and 'amateur' is I suppose the kindest word to attribute to my pics.
That said, I did receive an invitation to add one of my pics to a site......so I did.
I have had a few views too.....but not an awful lot of comments.
I am going to have to work an awful lot harder, to get better at taking pics....what i have seen though, has given me some inspiration, and something to aim for.
