Just returned from my acupuncture session with the lovely Cheryl. She is fantastic for me, the chats we have are as benefical as the treatment. l've been seeing her weekly since November, and this kind woman only accepts a peppercorn fee from me. She was going to treat me for free, but she is running a business and not a charity, so we came to an arrangement that allowed me to keep some pride.
l wasn't sure when l first saw her how she could help me and neither did she. She can't cure the tremors, or the muscle rigidity but she has helped in lots of other ways l never even considered. The drugs l take make my scalp very itchy, she's cured this. My energy levels were very low, along with depression about what has happened to me in the last year. She has energised me and made me see that a degenerative disease isn't the end of my life, just the start of another chapter.
Had another sleepless night last night. l haven't slept since Monday, this is hopefully the next thing she's going to try and help me with. lf she does l'll be so grateful l'll call my first child Cheryl, regardless of sex.
