I finished off my last episode with a joke that my dear old Ma used to tell.
I felt I had to insert some sort of humour into what is a very 'ranting' opinionated and mad making blog.
I AM allowed!
I had to put my thoughts down in writing....or at least some of them because they were rattling round inside my cranium....getting them out onto the page helps, but only a very little bit.
Then I wake up to find that an extension of six months has been granted by the 27 across the moat. Thank God for the English Channel.
That will be seven months of wasted time and wasted money. One billion pound per month we are paying to be kept in detention.
(Imagine all of the good things we could do with that kind of money....all the community projects it would fund, the nurses and doctors salaries it would pay, it makes my heart bleed with the madness of it all)
Well, unless of course the rotten to the core Withdrawal agreement is accepted....or as is more likely 'pushed through' by foul means....and that would not surprise me in the least.
If a deal is bad now, it is not going to get better with keeping.
And it is a dead cert that the Brussels Mafia will not relent even a millimetre from their position.
I cannot see that a general election would improve things either...nor a change of political leader.
I cannot see anyone with the cojones to defy the EU mandarins....however I would like someone who could take over and create some mischief for those smug, smirky self assured goons in Brussels...but that won't happen.
The joke that I put on my last episode was a real favourite of Ma's and it always made me chuckle.
I think this was mainly because those listening did not expect this grey haired old lady to be telling such a smutty joke....but anyone who knew my Ma...or had spent any time in her company, knew that the humour would rapidly descend to a sort of 'refined' lavatorial level.
