Did anyone have the misfortune to watch Queen Mania on ITV last night (Saturday) ?

Freddie Mercury must be turning in his grave. What a load of rubbish. Why do these people think they can do justice to Queen's music?

just tryed 5 mins near end,saw tony christie doin the worst version of a queen song i ever saw-glad i missed most of it.

I did'nt watch it and by the sounds of it I did'nt miss out!:)
Freddy is a hard act to follow and they won't find another one! So the best your going to get is gloryfied Kareoke! I stayed in and watched Master and Commander on sky!

I've always thought Saturdaynight telly was made to get people out to the pub!
but we can't always go!:( :)

i did not watch it so i cant comment
however if anyone has been on a p&o cruise ship and seen the stadium theatre company do a tribute to queen ,then they saw a fantastic show ...
all the shows on there are brilliant ,,,,,,their tribute to elvis was also one of the best ......

I was channel surfing and had the misfortune to see Toyah Wilcox attempting to do ...something.:(

I agree last night wasn't good and it's poor Madonna's turn next week to have her songs murdered :( can't wait lol!

This was one of the worst tribute shows ever shown...........all the tunes were murdered, and a lot of the singers(if you can call them that) were out of tune!!

Toyah was terrible!!

Thinking about this makes me wonder if we have gotten to the bottom of the barrel with television in general and ITV in particular? I have not seen anything genuinely new and entertaining on the box for what seems like an eternity. Everything has been done and re-done over and over again and although it may look slick and glossy it really is not any different from the sort of stuff that the TV pumped out in the 1960's. In fact the only really new thing is "Reality TV" and aren't we all soooooo grateful for that!

They hadn't scraped quite to the bottom yet, wait for the new reality show due to be aired this weekend 'celebrity wrestling'!

Thought the G4, Lesley Garrett version of Barcelona was ok, though still not a patch on the original, love that song, rest was rubbish. Freddie is an hard act to follow, though have seen a tribute to Freddie Mercury a few times in the Griffins Head, cant remember his name but he's very good.
