Didnt realise how long it is since i'd done this. Shows the brains not in gear ... mind you is it ever? 
So what have i been doing? Played pool twice and got beat twice ....... which is nowt new - and i've got entwisi's pool cue which is propped up against the settee - I HAVENT BROKEN IT YET ENTWISI its still safe so far.....
The first week of us playing pool entwisi dropped me off at bash con - on my way down on the bus i'd seen my brother outside having a cigar and as he plays for rising bridge/bash con b - i knew i could scrounge a lift of him home. So the cost of little sis coming to watch him play pool - 2 orange and sodas and a lift home - cost to little sis - a pan of broth on thursday night!!!! It would have been cheaper getting a taxi or entwisi dropping me off at home!!!
2nd week of playing pool - entwisi needed an excuse to charge up his phone and so came and picked me up. We were at the dog and partridge. Anyway he got called into work - so i had the honour of bringing his pool cue home with me and taking it back next week. Now cos i was one of the last lot on this week and i didnt fancy walking down to the bus stop and waiting for the bus - so i thought i'll try and catch him on his way back - they'd been playing at the cricket club - he'd already gone back to rising bridge but he came and picked me up. Which was ever so nice of him - and he also took a couple of the other players down to the Park - and then dropped me off - cost to me - another pan of broth!!!!
So i've had brother for tea for two nights and he says i make broth better than our mum did!!! I say he's only saying that cos otherwise he wouldnt get it again!!!! Sis says that as well seeing as she was here on thursday when he came. He was playing snooker after down rawtenstall and so needed his tea bang on 6pm - it was ready at 5.50 i sent him a text to say it was ready - he was eating it when he got the text at 6.15!!!
On Thursday i got a text from my sister - can i come and use your computer - i need to send an email and alter a document - and i dont have word. They bought a new computer from tesco - and it comes with office on it - but a trial version - not a full version. So after 20 goes it wont let you use it. She has vista otherwise i'd lend her my copy and put it on hers but mine is office xp small business so i dont think it will work. Anyway she came up and sorted it out i proof read it after getting the broth on and sat here talking. She said you fancy going to a quiz tonight down at the clarence? I'll come and pick you up and it'll be a laugh. So i said yeah might as well. I'll pick you up at 8pm. She said it smells nice that .... (meaning the broth) I said yeah it does. I'll tell you the meaning of that later probably in another episode .... Anyway bro leaves at 6.45 to go and practice before his snooker match, and i washed up and then got ready - when she says 8pm its best to be ready 10mins before!!!
Big nephew turns up at 8.05 - i've come to pick you up!!! So off we go - and the lights are all out on the roundabout again - and someone had bashed into a lampost. Anyway gets down to sis's and little nephew is there - he's not really little - he's 16!!! Sis asked him if he was coming with us to the clarence and he said yeah ok. After i got some hassle from sisters partner - for not making them broth ... only making it for bro - we set off round to the clarence on helmshore road. Sis tried to put music on the jukebox - and failed miserably it swallowed her money without letting her put any music on so she got her £1 back from behind the bar and they gave her another £1 to put in the jukebox. That one worked. Then she said any of you want to put some on - and nephew nabbed some. So it was kaiser chiefs, rod stewart, four tops, coldplay .. you know what i mean!!! lol Then quiz started. We won!!!! There were two teams drew - with 29 points each - and had to do a tiebreak - and send one team member up from each team to answer one question so we sent sisters partner up - and they both got it wrong!!! So there was another question which he got it right. Good job we sent him up. Little nephew nabbed the prize £10. Then we played bingo. We didnt win on that though!!! Dont think any of us came close!! But it was a good night out. We are going back ... probably not next week - but the week after a good chance we'll be there.
