RIP Tony Bennett

Sad to hear that Tony Bennett has passed away. They don’t make singers like that any more. He didn’t need a lot of paraphernalia or gimmicks, just a microphone and that was it. A true artist who gave so much pleasure to his audience. Even suffering Alzheimers towards the end of his life he was still able to perform.

A sad loss to the music world but through his recordings his legacy will live on for those of us who enjoy and appreciate the good stuff.

I think we still have a flicker of hope in a good crooner…. Micheal Buble is worth a listen and he may become the substitute for Tony Bennett.

Also Vince Hill died recently aged 89, so from roughly the same era as Tony Bennet.
