It's the west coast of Scotland, that is warmed by the Gulf Stream.

You'll find palm trees grown there, but it's all relative. It'll still be cooler than the Gulf (of Mexico) from whence it came.:D

I lived up there for three years, and usually found the best weather was in the late spring/early summer.

If you go near the summer solstice in June, you'll have daylight for about twenty hours a day, if you go far enough up...and in the small towns and villages the pubs only close when you leave.:D
 
The warmest place I have been to in Scotland, and definately one of the nicest, is a place called Wick, take all roads north and you get there eventually.

LOL .. a place does not have to be warm to be beautiful though Polly, and Scotland is one of the most gorgeous places I have ever seen, cold or warm.
 
warmest place i was in in scotland ... was in grangemouth .... aint telling you the exact address .. he might get worried with all of you lot knocking on his door ....

Yeah if you have a couple hundred for the drink and the same for a bed at night. LAst night out in Edinburgh at the Grassmarket it was £58 to get home. Pay £32-£38 from Glasgow and the drink is cheaper.

Quite agree n I have been in the Borders, Highlands East West and even up to the Orkneys. :D
 
i have no idea what parts of scotland are warmer than other parts but i would like to dispell a long standing myth that all scottish people are alcoholics:mad:

some are drug addicts too :D

Warmest place I found was the Formula 1 in Falkirk....room £25....bottle of rum....£13....job done.

They let you into Falkirk? Damn the towns standards must have fallen more than when they let me in!!!! Surprised they didnt arrest you and deport you. :p
