During this lockdown I have made nothing.
I did think that I would be making stuff, but my mindset is all, wrong.
This is going to sound really soft and soppy....and maybe even a bit implausible....and yet?
When I make my cards I put a lot of personal thought and feeling into each project.
A bit of myself I guess.
On the back I have my own logo which proclaims that the card was 'made with love'.....and I cannot put that logo on something that was made while I was feeling mad, bad or peevish.
Now, I do not know if my feelings are conveyed to the people who receive that cards I have made.
I feel that although the paper, or card is inanimate, it has the ability to carry with it my 'vibes'.....the feelings I had while I was crafting it.
So call me nutty, but I have not been able to muster up the right kind of feelings.
On another note altogether....
My niece in Oz has just submitted her doctoral thesis for her PhD.
She has slogged on to get the work done.....and finally last Wednesday there were Skype conversations with her mentors and supervisors who were giving her encouragement.
Then there was a FaceTime conversation with her chap who is working in Brussels right now.....they were all included as she pressed the 'send' button on her computer to send her thesis to the independent assessor.
A bottle of Moët was opened to celebrate....pics were taken to send to the family here.
Harley, my niece is currently working as a sessional lecturer at Griffiths University in Brisbane.....although right now, all her lectures are being done from home.
So well done Harley....Granny Fanny(Ma) would be so very proud of you.
