Spugs on Monday ... have we to go to blackpool .. walk down the front eat fish and chips walking through the lights? ... havent been to blackpool for a couple of year ..havent been through the lights for a long while .. not since the nephews and nieces were little ..now they've hit 16 and upwards .. go to blackpool for the lights ..ooo thats so yesterday jen ...
So we got on the train just after 5pm from accy .. arguing all the way there over who was going to be the first to see the tower .. thats what we used to be like going in the car when i was a kid .. it kept us quiet!! My dad always said whoever sees it first gets 50p!!! That was a lot of money then .. especially when i used to love the 1p and 2p machines .. i had money!!
Anyway we got there about 6pm .. arguing over which way to go .. as we'd come in at Blackpool North .. Anyway found our way down to the front .. came out opposite North Pier .. now to find something to eat .. i was starving .. spugs made me walk down the front to harry ramsdens .. we got take out .. me sausage and chips and gravy.. spugs fish chips and peas ... came out of there back onto the front .. and was accosted by a young bloke with a scouse accent .. give us a fiver for food .. and i said no .. have no money on me .. and he said well at least you are eating .. and walked off .. Spugs like usual was walking ahead of me .. he didnt approach spugs .. he'd walked past him .. and asked me... Spugs said he wouldnt ask me .. he going for the soft touch so little did he know ... lol
Anyway crossed over the road dodging the traffic .. and went down onto the beach. I said im not going down there till i finished my food .. saw all the gulls .. plus theres no bins to put the tray in!!! Spugs oh they wont bother you ... famous last words ... im stood up on the prom .. eating my sausage and chips in peace ... spugs is dodging the gulls!!! lol
We walked down the beach and came back up just after central pier ... and they turned the lights on ..about 7.30pm .. and we walked through .. to just after the pleasure beach .. then thought well the trains at 10pm from the south station .. and we werent right sure where the train station was ... so we thought we'd best wander back up and find it ... Eventually we found it .. and was there for about 9.30 .. Train came in early about 9.45 ..but also set off about 5 mins early .. We found out as well that the train terminated at blackburn .. we were on a coach from blackburn to accy. To say it was the last train from Blackpool and the lights were on .. the train was empty!!! There was a couple of young girls on that got off not far down the line .. and a couple of blokes more people got on further down the line .. at preston ... Got on the coach at blackburn .. when it arrived .. and then from there calling at all the train stations between blackburn and accy .. We got into accy about 11.45pm .. just before midnight ..and accy was empty .. hardly anyone about. Walked down to the taxi rank and no taxis .. so we went to the one near the railway... left it to spugs to sort .. and got home ...
Spugs went home on the Tuesday ... waved him off safely from accy .. and that was spugs visit .. hope you like the pics ...
