Quote from Jackman & Dykes' "Accrington Stanley - A Complete Record":
One of the first Scottish juniors brought to Peel Park by Walter Galbraith, Ron Todd caught the eye of Stanley's manager when he was in Scotland watching another player. An engineering apprentice and part-time professional, Todd's service with Stanley was interrupted by RAF National Service. He was a long time in reserve, making his League debut some three and a half years after first signing. In his initial outing, Stanley won an exciting match against Bradford City 5-4 to record the season's first away victory. His Stanley career ended painfully when he fractured an arm in an away match at Doncaster, late in season 1959-60."

Yep, it's in "Accrington Stanley - a Complete Record 1894-1962". See my review of it on t'fishy site for more details. It's long out of print though, but you're quite welcome to borrow my copy. Will PM you about it.
I am trying to find out any information on Ronnie Todd who played for Accrington Stanley 1957 I was in the R.A.F. with him at West Kirby, and really enjoyed his company. Would like to find out how his life turned out after his national servicedays. So happy to see Stanley back in the league, I love teams with proper names. My main team is Tottenham Hotspur another team with a proper name!! I would really love to see both teams meet in the near future, it would be a dream come true.
