Christmas shopping... Oh how I hate all the hassle that goes with it. I have booked tomorrow off work so I can get majority of it done. I have some bits already but still got quite a lot to buy.
I'm not the best shopper anyway but with the build up to christmas it's even worse.
Everywhere is absolutely manic and you spend half your time people dodging!!! Then there are the people you have no idea what you are going to buy for and that is when it really gets on my nerves. Walking around aimlessly trying to think up or spot some good ideas on what to get them.
I tend to lean towards buying a few cheaper presents for people rather than one expensive one so then you are more likely to actually get something they like!!!!(unless they have specifically asked for something) Plus its more fun when you have more pressies to open as I think the most fun had at chrimbo is the excitement of opening the pressies.
The only time I get any satisfaction from shopping is when I get to the car with loads of bags of stuff and know that I have got everyone everything. But that satisfaction is usually shortlived when I get home and realise I have more bags than items inside them!!! Oh yeah and there's always the 1 or 2 pressies you've forgot to get....grrrrrr....
On top of all the pressie buying I have to do, I also have the joy (note heavy sarcasm) of buying all new xmas decs as in my wisdom last year I decided because the house had been fully renovated I would throw all the old decs out along with the tree. So I have the added decision of do I go for a real tree this year????? Your comments would be appreciated
Just as a final note I don't want to give the impression that I am a bit of a humbug where christmas is concerned...far from it, I love it. Just can't stand all the build up to it and it seems to be getting earlier every year
