Now lets see how this one goes ... ive already typed it once ... and it disappeared so got to do it all again!!!!
Like i said ... there was 8 of us left ... the rest had either gone to the match or to find a pub that had sky sports so they could watch the game ... the 8 included me, spug, the bride, big sis, nic, niamh (bit too young to go to another pub seeing as she was only 3), cousins wife and a friend. So sis says we need a break .. we need coffee and cake ... i know just the place ... we all looked at her .. where at 5.30pm will you find a place that will serve coffee and cake or biccies in burnley ... especially as the football is on .. most will either be at the match or in a pub or at home watching it .. Sis says the Oaks .. the other side of burnley and so orders a minibus to take us there. We all piles in .. but niamh had to sit on her mums knee, and niamh said wheres the seatbelt .. We all gets to the Oaks .. this is where sis and her new hubby were spending the wedding night ... and so we were allowed in .. but we had to go to the upstairs lounge. We got to the bottom of the stairs and looked up and theres a massive stained glass window thats absolutely brilliant ... we all sat down on these nice and soft leather settees and we got coffee and biccies .. or orange juice in niamhs case .... with a running commentary on the match from spug ... We heard they'd got a penalty and they'd scored from it before the ones in the bar who were watching it on sky .. so we cheered .. then there was an echo from the ones in the bar below ... im sure they wondered what we were cheering for!!!
The match finished ... and we thought we'd best get back to the inn ... seeing as we had the bride with us .. they'd be wondering where she was .. if she'd already done a runner was the first ... plus there was a change in plan for the picking up of niamh and niall ... that grandma would pick niall up as planned but bring him back to the party and then niamh could have a dance .. then when they got tired .. home they'd go. So orders the minibus .. this time we got a bigger one .. and niamh got a seatbelt of her own ... and we got back to the inn .. and everyone else had come back ... We all migrated back upstairs .. and the disco kicked off .. and it was PARTY TIME!!!! Niall and Niamh had a dance .. niamh did everything niall did even trying to break dance ... niall though was in his football kit ... burnley kit ... niamh was in her purple party dress and she werent bothered ... she was dancing!!! lol
So we danced and partied the night away. The buffet was better than expected .. though no dips .. you got sachets of mayonnaise and hp and mustard etc. I even managed to get spug up dancing ... twice!!!!
I danced most of the night away while he was sat watching .. i did have breaks .. but not much. I got a shock when i went to the bar once .. spug was drinking blue becks .. i was drinking orange and soda .. like usual ... and they charged 45p for each shot of orange cordial ... im used to paying 50p - £1 for a pint .. this was only half ..
Anyway came time for the minibus home ... we were told the bus would be outside at 11.50pm and leaving at midnight ... well we were all singing at midnight New York New York ... Now the young ones .. the ones under the age of 25 .. all went into town after god knows how they were all standing after drinking all day .. but off they went ... After they'd gone my big sis found out that her youngest daughter had swizzed both her and her dad for £20 each spending money to go round burnley then there were some missing .. so one got off the bus to look for em .. they got on the bus .. you know how it goes ... Anyway we set off home bout 12.15 .. Now my youngest nephew .. it was his birthday on the sunday .. and he was on the minibus going home .. someone had to let the dog out after being in all day .. so we sang happy birthday to him, then we started singing from the song sheet then there were different versions of songs .. then it was time for us to get off.. this about 12.45 .. we were all tired it was a long day .. think there were some bad heads on the sunday ....
