Spent most of this week in bed from not being so well on monday. Anyway I went to the quiz on thursday nite. Might be because we'd won it last week and so doing the quiz questions for this week. Sis had done a local quiz before she went to India - she said she'd done 60 questions and gave it me before she went. Was a good job I checked! I ended up doing 40 general knowledge questions as well. Turned out she had 15 local photo questions 14 local questions and 20 general knowledge - how she got that to add up to 60 i dont know. Anyway it went off ok - I did my 40 while she went and picked up her son from cadets and took him home and then she did the photo round and then read her questions when she got back. My sis works at Burnley Library and thats where she got the photos from. They were all of Baxenden, Rising Bridge, Acre, Stonefold and Haslingden from years back. She likes doing the local history thing. Anyway she went about midnite - they had to ring for a taxi cos she'd been having a drink and she wasnt going to get done. Anyway after getting kicked out of the pub a few came back to mine! Was party time! Recommendation - no playing Truth or Dare/Spin the bottle at 2.30 am and after a skinful! All i can say is im glad there were no cars around at 3.30am well not many. Otherwise they'dve had an eyeful - not me but people who came back in particular the lads - one way to make sure they completed the dare send em to the garage in their boxers for cigs! lol I was working on Friday as well to make up for not going in on Wednesday. I made it though. When I got home on Friday night after work i put the photos from fri morning - got some great photos great from bribery and printed em out and took em into the pub.
Saturday my eldest sis rang me up and asked if i wanted to go out shopping with her and i said well i want a new coffee table so yes please. Anyway went to the Range on Whitebirk and came out of there with new oven gloves and a magazine but no coffee table! She asked me if i wanted to stop at her house for tea and i said yes please! Saves me cooking and we went to asda as well cos i didnt have anything in! Thats why i didnt get to the meet - didnt come home till about 9.30. She said shes going to ikea in Feb so im going with her then. She's also thinking about where i can get a coffee table as well. Ikea book didnt have any i liked. Still going to ikea though with her. She says we should have a girls only pamper night at my house because im the one with no bloke or kids!
