The ankle biter is no better. Daughter has to go to Ante Natal clinic today too......I have told her to take him along and let the paediatrician have a look at him.......so that's what she did.......she(the paediatrician) suggested daughter should let GP look at the lad so appointment was booked for 4pm.......they came and had a brew with us while they waited for the appointment time. The lad is only taking drinks now.....no food at all. I looked at his mouth yesterday because daughter thought he might have thrush.......I couldn't see any of the typical white plaques, but noted there were two areas of his tongue that looked very sore......today, however he does look like he has thrush.
They went to see the Doc and he thinks he has thrush, but also thinks the lad has had some sort of viral illness that has made his tongue sore.
They got some Nystatin for the thrush and some Zovirax for a little cold blister that seems to have developed near his mouth.
They have been told to take him back if things get worse or if he stops drinking.
I have been monitoring his temperature and as far as I am aware he has not had a temperature while he has been with us, but then we have been giving him Calpol. Anyway if all goes to plan he will be feeling better soon(I hope).
Daughter asked about the mammogram.........I told her, 'don't ask'
and also whether I have filled in the form for the registration with the dentist......again a similar answer!
