Two dozen.

That is the number of cards I have completed so far.
They are all different, but there are some which are variations on a theme.
Now if only I could say that I had two dozen presents bought, wrapped and ready to go. That would really be something!

Well Mick, you are spot on there.
I usually make up 'goody bags'. They are my version of a selection box. When the children we buy for were little the goody bags had sweets and little novelties in them.....but now these children are in their teens......well, it has become a bit harder. I often source things like nail polish, lip gloss, hair bands, body scrub, moisturisers from the pound shops.

The boys of the family still get more edible stuff, but some of them also like moisturises and lip balm.....though they wouldn't value me telling you this.

Very creative Margaret - a personalised card is something to keep along with the presents!

Dianne, if you look back in the blogs....to Come on get going there are two cards there that you might recognise.

Cashy, I am glad you like it. It is a Victorian style card....so it harks back to the days when Christmas was really special.
Oh and I have added some more pics...so your favourite might change.:D

I may be deluding myself, but I think my skills are getting better. And there is one thing......those who receive one of these cards knows that I have put effort into them and there is not another one like it to be had anywhere......Oh and I'm up to 26 now...I have also made a couple of birthday cards and a 'Thank you' card as well.

Sorry Margaret I did not get my 60th Birthday card off you must have got lost in the post:D

No Mick, I didn't realise it was your birthday (let alone your 60th) until I saw it on here. Had I realised I would have give you the card at one of our not so secret assignations.:D

These cards are much nicer than store bought ones! And I like your idea of goodie bags as gifts. We have dollar stores over here, similar to your pound stores I suspect :)

thank you Carolyn....for your kind words.
The goodie bags also have either an envelope with some money in(just so that the teens can buy something they would like...or put it towards something they would like) and more recently we have put Itunes cards in the bags.....but I don't like giving or recieving 'gift vultures'.
They seem so lacking in imagination.
Last year I put Kaleidoscpoes in the goodie bags and they were a great hit.....even with the teens. It was something that they had never had as children and they found them fascinating.
I start buying stuff round about now and putting it into my treasure drawer.....this means that the cost doesn't all come at once.
